Ray Milhem

Ray is currently the Founder & CEO of MILHEM. MILHEM is a Strategic Advisory firm focusing on Digital Transformation and Leadership as well as M&A advisory services. We target mid-size and Fortune 500 companies in North America, South America, EMEA and APAC in various sectors of the Market.

Ray is currently the COO @ LONPROX (IoT/Indoor Wireless positioning company) based in San Diego, CA.

Ray served as VP of Enterprise Solutions and Cloud at ANSYS.  He was recruited to ANSYS from Silicon Valley to build the cloud solution products for the company.  He and his team at ANSYS worked with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and delivered the ANSYS Enterprise Cloud within one year. They also worked closely with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. He led the production of "elastic licensing" (pay-per-use) a first at the company, which had only used leased and paid-up licensing for the past 45 years.

Previously, Ray worked at Synopsys to formulate the cloud computing strategy. He also worked at Narus/Boeing Defense‑focused on big data/analytics for cybersecurity-  as the Global Head of Engineering Operations.  In his career, Ray also worked as the CTO for DSO and led DCD (an engineering design house).

Ray held various Executive positions as the VP/GM of Motorola Software. He also led Product Management at Nokia Security appliances. Ray held various positions at Cisco, Extreme Networks and AT&T for the past 30 + years.

His areas of expertise include cloud computing, SaaS, IoT (Ray holds two IoT sensor pending patents), Data Centers, Enterprise Software, and Cyber Security. Ray has Global experience having worked in the US, Canada, Dubai & Kuwait. He managed teams across the Globe. Ray has worked at both large/multi-national companies and start-ups. He mentors and coaches emerging startups in his free time. He is very active with CMU (Carnegie Mellon University) as well as University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University as a frequent guest lecturer and mentor of various start-ups coming out of these Universities and IW (Innovation Works).

Ray has been an active member of various tech and business organizations in Silicon Valley, Chicago, Toronto and Pittsburgh.
